First things first. I wanted to wish everyone a very special and happy holiday. I truly appreciate the loyal support from everyone of my followers. It’s been a fun year and I’m excited to get cracking in 2018 with new metal detecting equipment, new sites and locations including some WWII militaria hunts in South Australia.
Destination California’s Gold Country
Not to forget, I’ve got a trip home to California where I’ve secured permission from a family friend to hunt his property in Sheep Ranch which is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. The property is over 200+ years old, rich in gold mining history and has never been hunted before. This is tasty virgin ground and I’m geek’d to get swinging the CTX 3030 over sacred Sheep Ranch soil ASAP!!!! It also includes an abandoned gold mine on the property so let’s keep our fingers crossed for some good action at Sheep Ranch
Other destination hunts for 2018 include Bali. The wifey and I are undertaking a large and exciting project in 2018 as we’re building four villas to use as Airbnb rentals. We have our Balinese family as business partners to help organize the logistics while construction should start in early 2018. With that said, I’ll definitely be in Bali a few times over the next 12 months as I oversee some of the early and final stages of construction. Besides my wife, I’ll include the Etrac with me so I can clean up those Balinese beaches or perhaps journey into the jungle and discover some ancient lost city of gold which Indiana Jones left behind. All-in-all, it should be an exciting year ahead.
Back to the Hangover
It’s the day after Christmas, the festivities are over but the lingering headache of last night’s Ales are still lingering as I took the CTX 3030 out for a morning hunt today. Started playing with the CTX 3030 features today. Which included me using the awesome CTX 3030 GPS/GeoHunt/Way Point/ Find Point features including the backend uploads to xChange2 software by Minelab. Not a big day on the coins, relics or even rubbish, but was able to manage a decent find regardless of my holiday hangover.
Have a look……..
